Maynard Suffers Broken Leg

Disastrous news for Epsom Downs on the whole as reserve team keeper and general all round decent bloke, Alex 'Milky' Maynard suffered a freak leg break in the teams 0-1 home defeat to Real Dundonald.

The accident occurred during the match when the opposition floated in a seemingly harmless cross. A mix up between ASBO Ben and Milky somehow resulted in Milky being in a crumpled heap on the floor clutching his left ankle and in obvious pain.

After a lengthy delay Maynard managed to hobbled off and drive? himself home. A trip to the hospital later on revealed a double break and spelled the potential end to Maynards season, a big blow for the reserves.

The club wish Maynard all the very best and a speedy recovery.
